Top Gear Philippines recently got hold of yet another e-bike: the Muji Honda MS01.

This sleek two-wheeler boasts a minimalist design and is quite the looker. It packs a 400W motor at the rear, with a 48V20Ah lithium-ion battery that then enables a top speed of 25kph. Popcycle Ebike Center—the local distributor of the MS01—can unlock the software to get that max speed up to 40kph. Estimated range, meanwhile, is 55km. Battery life is around three to five years.

The MS01 is also minimalistic when it comes to its extra amenities. It only has a small digital panel that displays the speedometer, the battery gauge, the odometer, and the single trip meter. It does come standard with a taillight, a brake light, side mirrors, and a horn. What it lacks are signal lights and a center stand.

Thanks to its large 17-inch wheels, the MS01 is relatively easier to handle than other small e-bikes. Its build quality is also impressive, as it can handle small road bumps with ease. But fair warning: As stylish as that seat may be, it’s really not that comfortable on longer rides.

One really, really important thing to note here above all else is the price tag. The Muji Honda MS01 comes with a pretty hefty sticker price of P89,999. Is it worth all that dough? Watch the embedded video above to know more about this limited-edition e-bike.
